We Don't Need No Steenkin Ship

Episode_1.jpg

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

Our band of misfits has liberated a Corellian YT-1300 light freighter, the Krayt Fang, from a bounty hunter named Trex and has left orbit.

It will take several minutes for the newly-installed Hyperdrive Reactor part to warm up before they can jump to light speed, and four Tie fighters have just swung to intercept the Krayt Fang, firing at its shields.

As the group scrambles to man the guns and fight off the Tie fighters, a horrible smell permeates the now closed environment and begins to affect everyone except Vex, the droid…

A Miner Problem

Ryloth aftermath

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

With the bounty hunters killed, the group decides to explore the old Lylek Den and ensure Trex is actually dead.

Sasha and the assassin droid Jerry sneak into the cave system and make their way to the caverns at the rear – they see a giant Lylek sucking the marrow out of Trex’s arm, his unmoving body lying behind it.

While Pash and Mathus attempt to dig out and repair their speeder, the rest of the group takes the Bounty Hunter’s speeder and continues with B’uran B’an to the mining village.

When they arrive, they are informed that a human developer named Angu Drombb has been buying up land around the mining village and is using his thugs to intimidate the miners.

The Twi’leks believe that an outside influence is paying Angu to take over their mining operation – the group wonders whether they are Imperial or if it’s Teemo, but are leaning towards Teemo.

That night, four of Drombb’s thugs crash a speeder into one of the village’s houses and starts a fight with the group. They dispatch the thugs with ease and take the leader captive.

After interrogating him, they learn that Drombb and 12 men are staying at their compound a mile away from the mining village. The men are fairly well armed and have a patrol on guard at all times.

The session ends with the group deciding to scout out the compound and ready their attack.

You Suck, Caleb.

Geonosis

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

Our group of misadventurers fought their way through Angu Drombb’s thugs in a pitched battle outside the cantina.

After a brutal struggle, the group emerged, scarred but victorious. Caleb, a young Twi’Lek who joined the heroes, was gunned down by the vicious Angu Drombb moments before Drombb died of his wounds.

After searching the Cantina and offices, a series of messages was discovered on Drombb’s computer, sent to a recipient named ‘Thweek’. Mathus downloaded the messages to his datapad.

Message 1: “Yes it’s a risky business. I’m amazed Trex managed to get away with that droid technician Sivor without causing the whole thing to fall down on our heads. You never know with kriffing bugs, with their clades and castes and such. Annoy the one on top and you lose every other link in the chain. Start from scratch. I thought this whole deal was going to fall through when we lost the support of Duke Piddock, but Dim- mock – he might be the bug for us.”

Message 2: “Decapitated! Ha! Well, make sure he never gets to hear about that! I mean, don’t get me wrong, the bugs are kriffing hypocrites on the issue if you ask me. They’re more than happy to see dozens of drones squandered in their own games, but if he knew what happened with Sivor, it’d be all over for the deal. Hah, putting a tech-geek in the ring against you! What a way to go.”

The heroes will have to decide whether to head back to the mining camp or directly back to the city and report to Nyn, the Twi’Lek who asked you to help the miners in the first place, as she’ll surely be interested in your victory.

Our group infiltrated a party on Genosia in an attempt to undermine Teemo the Hutt’s underworld relationships.

After establishing themselves on stage as a mediocre Wookie Opera company, the group discovered that Teemo is ripping off Jabba the Hutt and has betrayed his previous Genosian partner, Duke Pimmock.

Teemo’s current trading partner, Duke Dimmock, was very interested in the information the group provided, and said he would turn a blind eye if the group wanted to stow away aboard a smuggling ship delivering goods to Teemo in Mos Shuuta.

Meanwhile, the 50,000 credit bounty Teemo put on the group’s collective heads has already attracted the attention of a gand bounty hunter named Vrixxt.

Star wars edge of the empire jp targete

Previously, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

Our stalwart adventurers smooth-talked their way past the Geonosian guards and hid in the Lucky Guess, a smuggler ship bound to deliver crates of droid parts to Teemo’s palace on Tattooine.

After arriving, the group had the crates delivered to the Junk Shop and sought out Lt. Dax, an imperial officer who replaced the local Imperial commander, who Pash had killed during their escape from Mos Shuuta.

As soon as the adventurers entered the cantina, all hell broke loose – Vrixx’xxt, the gand bounty hunter, had tailed them to the cantina and ran out as soon as he saw some of the group, only to run headfirst into Lowwrick, the Wookie. A brutal fight ensued, which saw Lowwrick almost killed and the Gand lying dead with a vibroknife buried in his skull.

As the rest of the group arrived, a fight broke out between Lt. Dax, the stormtroopers and a man from Vex’s very recent past and the group. The cantina was left on fire after the fuel tanks were blown up, the stormtroopers were killed and Lt. Dax had his leg blown off by Pash.

Mos shuuta streets

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire

With the Mos Shuuta cantina engulfed in flames and 4 dead storm troopers at their feet, the group hauled the semi-conscious spaceport commander back to the Junkyard for interrogation.

After dispensing some drugs and an unlikely successful charm attempt, the imperial lieutenant gave up the location of the files, as well as the security door code.

Sasha, Pash and Mathus had themselves delivered in the empty droid crates directly into Teemo’s palace. After a brief firefight they were able to take control of the security office in Teemo’s palace, hacked the database for all the info they need to report Teemo’s dealings to Jabba the hutt, and then planted a home made bomb in the generator room.

While they were found and attacked as they attempted to leave, Pash had no trouble hot wiring a small shuttle and they successfully escaped just as 1/3 of Teemo’s palace exploded.

After regrouping at the junkyard, Jabba’s associate Anatta arrived and thanked the group for their information, prompting them to watch as Jabba’s men took Teemo and his thugs into custody.

The crew were delivered back to their ship on Geonosis and has a number of messages waiting for them upon their arrival. They also discover some rather interesting information as they examine all the data they found in Teemo’s computers.

Asteroid base 1

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

After leaving Tatooine behind them, the group was faced with numerous opportunities. Deciding to follow their contact Ota’s tip, they made their way to an out of the way star system not far from Geonosis in search of an abandoned asteroid base.

Inside the base they were told to look for a large communications array that couldn’t be moved quickly when the base was abandonded – but it turned out they weren’t the only ones looking for it.

As Mathus and Jerry stayed behind in the ship, Vex, Lowrick, Pash and Sasha made their way deep into the mining complex.

With no gravity, the group struggled down an empty elevator shaft, only to stumble onto a group of pirates. A firefight erupted, with the group easily dispatching their foes.

After questioning one of the pirates, the group decided to make their way down and ambush the pirates as they returned with their prize. As they were about to launch their attack, the lights suddenly went out.

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

After a terrific firefight in the cramped passages of the not-so-abandoned asteroid station, the group is now in control of a small, out of the way space station.

Located in the Socorro system, the base is close to a major hyperlane, as well as the planet Sorocco (a known smuggler and trading planet), and is a close hop to Geonosis, Ryloth and Tattooine.

During the fight they managed to turn some local pirates to their cause, and their captain, Onoss, is willing to help provide manpower and technical help to make the station operation (for a %5 fee).

At the end of the encounter, the group managed to take the notorious bounty hunter Trex captive, disabling his new cybernetic arm. Trex’s companions managed to escape with his ship during the battle.

With the group now in possession of the hyperspace transmitter that Ota had sent the group to find, but with supplies dwindling, they must now decide what’s next.

Previously, on Star Wars: Edge of the Empire…

Mathus, Sasha and Lowrhick stayed behind to clean and repair the abandoned station along with their captive, Trex.

Jerry, Vex and Pash went with the pirate captain Onoss on his freighter to the nearby planet Socorro to get supplies and parts for the station.

On the flight there, Onoss’s second in command, upset at Onoss’s decision to partner with the group, staged a munity on board, which was foiled thanks to the quick actions of the group.

Once on the planet, they met with Ota’s contact and sold the hyperspace transmitter for a good price. They also made a connection with a local arms dealer, who sold them several rare firearms and hooked them up with some other local traders.
